Clipping is short work from long footage. No new shoot, and not one long edit, but the moments from a stream, a podcast, an event or a YouTube video someone can watch on their own.
You usually already have the source. A Twitch recording, a podcast with video, a registration of an event, or a YouTube video too long to share whole again. We need the file, or access so we can pull the footage.
We choose moments that stand on their own. A joke, an explanation, a highlight, a sentence that works when you have not seen the rest. The long version still exists. The clips are pieces from it, not a new summary of everything.
Length and frame depend on where it goes. A fragment for YouTube is different from a vertical piece for a feed, and a podcast clip must be understandable without the full episode. We agree that before we start cutting.
For an event the footage can be ours, or a recording you already have. Clipping is then the short work afterwards. The shoot itself, if you want it, is a separate commission.
