Accessibility
Accessibility means the site can be used with keyboard, screen reader, larger text and enough contrast. We test against WCAG guidelines and fix what gets in the way.
Accessibility is the Dutch name for accessibility. A site that is not only pretty for someone who sees well and uses a mouse, but also for someone who needs a keyboard, a screen reader or larger type.
We look at what really stops visitors: too little contrast, buttons that only work with a mouse, forms without labels, text that exists only in an image, and a heading structure a screen reader cannot follow. We test that against WCAG guidelines. We do not deliver an official certificate. We deliver a list and the adjustments.
On a site we build ourselves, this sits in the build. On an existing site we start with a check of the main pages: home, contact, a form and the page where someone must act. Then we fix what blocks, not every detail a checklist names but nobody hits.
Accessibility also helps ordinary visitors: clear headings, readable copy, a site you can still follow on a phone in the sun. It is not a loose layer afterwards when it can sit in the structure. When it cannot, because the site already exists, we still remove the biggest barriers.
